Maybe I'm getting Battle Squadron confused with Hybris, but Battle Squadron had an NTSC version. Also, many crack groups removed NTSC locks from pre-93 PAL games.

Not true. You'd need an A500 machine that has the 1MB Fatter Angus to use Degrader to change between PAL/NTSC.
