Hi, database support for applications isn't really planned. Lik jbl007 says, it probably wouldn't work well to use the same framework for it either, though the specific problem mentioned could be solved by having FS-UAE Launcher always mount a shared Files volume. But there are other complications as well - cases where you want to run multiple applications at the same time (etc).
But bottom line is, for my part I have more than enough on my hands with game database support already
(PS: anyone can make a "database" of disk-based applications (with shared files volume and whatnot) via normal .fs-uae files. You can even specify files by checksums in .fs-uae files like amigafreak68k discovered -
