Thanks for the info guys. So does anyone have a list of EEPROMs etc that would be useful for Amigas?

Are there alternatives to the 27C400? (I thought there are possibly larger ones that can be used - 27C800?). The other ones Toni listed above I have no idea what they could be used for. Some parts listing have a 27C4001 - what does the extra "1" mean? Is there some guide somewhere? Does the brand of e.g. the 27C400 matter as well? Are some able to handle the faster 160ns vs 200ns timing that can be set via e.g. the A4000 motherboard jumper?

What other uses can be made of using EEPROMS!?

I want to see if one of these programmers is worth getting.

A recommended place to get the EEPROMs would be great too.
