i suspect it tends to be more common on the C64 because the differences between PAL and NTSC C64s are more pronounced (especially when going from PAL to NTSC), but in some cases it will just have been down to Publisher B not liking what Publisher A did! Another one for the C64 list is Flying Shark (UK) and Sky Shark (US) which were, ironically, both developed in the UK. =-)
