I ended up simply buying a scart to ypbpr adapter...
They're fairly cheap, work on
most tv's, and do exactly what this circuit was meant to do anyway
Actually, I have two....
However! One day, I'd like to make an rgb to ypbpr switch box, with 4 inputs, so I can connect the Amiga(s), Sega Mega Drive, NTSC N64, and whatever other consoles I end up with that have RGB out, to a single input on the tv..
