I got lucky and got one from Austria for 50 Euros Buy-It-Now with a 6581 at the end of May. The last one on eBay I saw before that I got outbid on as I refused to pay more than 100 GBP.
The real problem is just finding one in the first place - then worry about possibly needing deep pockets later
I did talk to Jens and asked if there would be any more production runs, but was told that Catweasel is now discontinued. He did say "a follow up product" is a possibility for the future though.
I do have a Kryoflux as well, but I needed a Catweasel card for my A1XE (which works very nicely with OS4 drivers and is detected correctly by UBoot too).
