Yes, I've tried changing the kickstarts chips. I've got those but I WANT to leave the 3.0's. WHY? BECAUSE YOU CAN USE THE PCMCIA WITH 8MB USING THEM:

No answer yet as Fol doesn't remember using 8mb or if they were EDO, and I've got double sided Edo rams that don't work either.
