Here's the 109% review of Battle Squadron in Amiga Computing.

I'd say it's *extremely* unlikely that Martin Pedersen would have the time or inclination to modify the game to update everything in a frame.

Remember that the blitter still runs at the same speed (except in WinUAE with immediate blits ticked), so the only way to increase the frame rate would be to change certain routines to use the CPU where possible (copying tiles for example), but that might also create timing problems where the blitter may expect the CPU to have copied the correct tile data already etc. I can't see it happening myself.
