Unless it is boxed and in mint condition without having yellowed you'll never get 50. More likely 20

The reason is plain and simple. Supply and demand. There were millions of A500's sold in the UK and there is only a demand of hundreds these days. Hence the low price.

128K Sinclair Spectrums are worth more because they didn't make very many. Whereas the 48k, 48k+, +2/+2a are very common and worth far less.
