It is source compatible with the 68k it is not truly binary compatible. It means you would have to make minor changes to your 68k assembly code. Obviously this is not possible / practical for the Amiga. It is really only practical to switch to Coldfire if you are a system developer who used to use a 68k for a product and own your source code.

FireBee, MiniMig, FPGArcade and NatAmi are very expensive for their capabilities. Whilst I am glad people are playing in this area. You've got to have deep pockets to want to "play" in this area over using free emulators on a PC or console.
