Well back in the day I enjoyed most platform games actually, including the Addams Family (which irritates the hell out of me now), Baby Jo (which is just boring to me now) and Zool (actually I still like that one, although the loading times are just insane).
Here's a question for you: what is it that makes a platform game more than good?
My choices in order of importance:
- lots of secrets to find
- smooth and fast gameplay
- colorful graphics
- plenty of action (either weapons or the old jump on the head stuff)
- cheery tunes
For me if the game hits all of these qualities, its a platformer I can replay until the end of my days. On that note, I'm going to play Aladdin again soon
