That thing would still stick out the side just as much as any other PCMCIA card anyway, so it defeats the purpose of using it to neatly keep everything inside the case without anything sticking out.

I'd still be interested in some Clockport sound card with MP3 decoding, or Clockport Ethernet/Wireless to leave the PCMCIA slot free.

Or how about a buffered IDE interface that's designed to hover over the PCMCIA slot and have a CF slot, IDE and SATA/e-SATA all in one convenient card, rather than people having to use several little parts to get the same thing. It would maximise space available to fit internal DVD drives and let people use plug-in external hard drives without needing a USB card or stack running.
