Yeah! Exactly. Instead of cutting the trace on the mobo (which is kinda difficult due to the mini size) Rkauer said to use an easier technique.

- Cut the internal "leg" SEL1 (pin #21) of the external floppy connector. Keep it "flying" for now;
I found that rather difficult since the pin #21 on internal "leg" of the external floppy connector is not viewable (since the upper row is visible from the back - while the lower row that has Pin #21 is hidden by the upper row pins).

- Using a wire jumper (better with a wire with a proper connector), route the SEL0 signal from the floppy header to the now "flying" leg. Solder the wire in the leg.
That is rather easy if you can do the 1st step.
