Hi there Steve,

it sounds like you made a little progress there

I must admit that it sounds more like a bad connection or a static damaged component, although it will probably either be a bad flash or problems with the type of CF card etc. We will get a better idea once it gets connected to a known working speccy, keep your fingers crossed and lets hope its something simple

I just seen your other post about the Ram size, it really has been a long time since I used mine apart from trying those audio files, I never really looked at the screen prior to loading the games. I am stumped at the moment for the answer to show the size of the memory, I thought that it would come up on the boot screen but it doesn't (just tried the 48+, those keys are a nightmare to remember)
