i think publishers are unwilling to realise a non-realistic game because so-called realism is now the norm... sure there are a few games being released that, use old methods, but they think "if its not 3d is someway its not worth doing)
Sad but true
Since Spacewar, game creators have (to a point) used as much of the machines capacity as possible... they can't think of any new genres so they just make 3d games
i agree with Akira, more replay value is needed... earning extra levels etc, is now sometimes more important than completing the game!!!
