I've been using PFS since PFS2 was published and upgraded to PFS3 as soon as it became available. I also wrote the tool PFSSalv.

PFS is incredibly fast compared to FFS, especially when used on the boot partition, and also faster than SFS.

PFS2 from time to time rises a block id error. This is similar to and has the same effect as a checksum error for FFS: the partition remains write protected. But I could always fix it with the tools which are supplied with the product (removedirentry and diskcheck) without reformatting.

PFS3 was similar until the latest updates came out. Since then I never had any problem with it any more.
