Tero understood the situation perfectly.
Hiding the F12 key can be an improvement to the desktop replacement enviroment just because sometime could be annoying while having the illusion to work on an Amiga enviroment, having the popup on Windows' window

The most important thing to remove , I think, that are the ALT the Windows hotkeys But even the deletion of F12 can be welcome.

However the logic is to have a virtual enviroment with no interaction of the user with windows, plain and simple
