IFAIK, The Very First was part of the software 'bundle' that originally came with a new A500 (the other parts being the Workbench and Extras disks). It is an interactive tutorial program which teaches new users the features of and how to use the Amiga hardware and software.
It's probably worth including here, as it's such an important disk. And it will be interesting to see how many languages were produced.
Back in the days when I first heard of "The Very First", I thought it was Commodore-speak for Workbench 1.0!
