Tested and I didn't expect this..
There _IS_ delay between write to BPL1DAT and Denise output changing state but it is only ~2 cycles, not 4.. (FF55 = plane 0 bit pattern, other planes are filled with zeros. Last line is Denise Red high bit, colors selected so that any plane set = red high bit is set)
This is getting more and more confusing..
