GBA emulation is great, but it require fast computer (as any other 32bit emulation). By fast I mean anything over 1GHz should be fine.
Visual Boy Advance is best and only emulator you'll need.
Only games that will not run are some Nintendo NES remake and for those to run them on emulator you can apply patches.
(not sure why would you do that when you can emulate NES
)
As for those games, I haven't checked scene for a long time now, so I've no idea.
