if you don't want to play AGA games I'd say the Minimig is good to go... there are a few compatibility problems with some games, but those are slowly being looked at by developers
Else you could consider an IDE -> CF adapter in your 1200 and install WHDLoad to run the games off of the CF card, that is a very nice solution too... oh and if you don't have an accellerator card, I'd consider sticking with one of Bloodwych's ClassicWB builds
