It's not really bespoke hardware, is it? Well, no more bespoke than an x86 Mac is? More 'crippled' I think.

I guess they wanted to go down the strict hardware route which I can understand. From the point of view of a smaller developer it's easier to get started because you can keep the playing field small.

...and lets face face it, it didn't hurt Apple, did it?

But at the of the day I imagine 99 out of 100 people have x86 hardware in their house.
