Its not the Amiga, its the programmers They would have had to split the score over more than 32 bits and handle carries over 32 bits manually, if they were even storing the score as a simple binary number like that. They could also have stored the score as BCD, as the 68k has BCD instructions that can be quite easily chained together to handle arbitrarily large numbers. Or even as an ASCII string! A quick examination of the code should reveal the method

But essentially, if they were expecting scores > 4.3 billion they would have had to code for it specially.
