Not applicable to Airport screening equipment, due to extremely low level and electronic image aquisition, but when x-rays are powerful enough to burn into a flim, I wouldn't trust my amiga on those...
Nobody uses direct exposure to film anymore. That technique hasn't been used for I-don't-know-how-many-years.
We use intensifying screens, in cassettes. Or digital detectors. I've done both.
No piece of hardware that I have X-rayed has ever been damaged, and I have X-rayed many pieces!
There is a lot of hype about X-rays, and many misconceptions based on assumptions relating to the amount and the type of radiation involved.
