I think the SCART cable was fine, because it worked as it was with my 1084 monitor, and with the Sony Cube monitor you can see in the photos if you follow the link in my previous post.

Apparently the 1084 and the Sony monitor didn't need pin 16 held high.

Unless of course you can tell me for a fact that the Amiga 500 really does supply the voltage on pin 16. I never got around to checking that out, because I sold the Barco and got the fabulous Sony monitor.

Here's another photo of the Sony monitor, running on a direct 15KHz RGB feed from my Frogger PCB.
