No more ugly than a Slingshot Zorro II adapter and a bare 2091?

Take the A590 to bits and it will look the same, but you wont need a Zorro II adapter.

Dont take it to bits, prop the A1000 up on books and it will just look strange.

If I remember correctly it blocks the joystick ports when plugged in. If you have the A1000 right Angle mouse you are ok. There is enough room to add a home made joystick extender.

Also I think it goes back to front rather than upside down.

Oh and I think you may have to trim the metal base plate. Some people have said they could get away without doing it, some dont.
