Yep, it's like s4murai says- I completed it years ago, so I can barely remember how to do it. But I do remember that you have to dodge her attacks and that the overhead slice is the best move against her.
And you are doing damage with your sword- you don't need to use any magical thingies
She can take ALOT of punishment, though...
