I don't know exactly what you mean with "point" but the point of this drive is that you can have HD floppies on your Amiga

To read pc floppies on your Amiga you need to mount PC0: or PC1: from workbench. It is in the storage/dosdrivers drawer if you have OS3.1 or higher. If your OS is older you need the program CrossDOS to mount pc drives.

ADF files image files of Amiga disks. Usually this are 880Kb images so that's why they fit on you PC HD disk.

And about the price: if that's what they sell for on their website I guess that's what they're worth! Whoever said computer equipment loses its value?
