Main difrences between version beta and final release which you can see is green menu buttons in beta and in final version menu buttons are brown. Besides IIRC beta version froze after first seson in career mode.

It looks like that "Code Engineers" only remove Hoodlum intro and added own. So the first version of swos ever made was cracked by Hoodlum. I think that in TOSEC that file should be rename to "Sensible World of Soccer v0.9 Beta Pre-Release"
