500s and 2000s aren't impossible to find in the US; they rarely(if ever) show up in secondhand stores where I live, but if you go through Craig'sList or a user group they rarely top $40 unless the former owner's on crack or it's a Toaster-ized 2000. 1000s are pretty much only kept around as curiosities and they fetch somewhat less money.
However, if you want a 3000, 600 or anything AGA prepare for eBay-assisted assrape.
