All, I have dug out a CDROM and IDE ZIP drive and had a great time scouring all my old ZIP disks and CD's.
I then decided it may be a good time to put the IDE (ehide.device) on the 1260 to use. Can I get the bugger to work, no. I did get it working originally when it had an IDE to SD hard drive. I just ran a script something like "run <>NIL: c:mounter ehide.device 0" (after downloading MOUNTER), and the drive(s) appeared on Workbench.
Now nothing on that IDE port works, nothing seems to mount the ehide.device any more. I even have a 44pin to 40 adapter that takes power from the 1260 IDE port - nothing. It lights up (SD and ZIP and CDROM) and whirrs (CD ROM And ZIP) but nothing in Workbench.
I have even put "c:loadmodule devs/ehide.device" into my startup-sequence right at the beginning, still nothing. The ZIP mountlists that I used with scsi.device i have pointed to ehide.device - nothing.
Any advice gladly accepted.
