I think it would be better to replace the Kickstart ROM with a mechanism to load modules from harddrive, as AOS4.x does.
I don't know if kickstart changes are feasible for this update, but I'd like to be able to remove trackdisk.device, or at the very least only mount DF0 if a floppy drive is detected.
