I got a cheap MC68EC030RP40B and MC68882FN40A from China and the CPU runs stable at 42MHz but it gets quite hot and sometimes crashes during startup. With the FPU installed I just get a yellow screen, so I guess I should lower the frequency or look for better parts 
I couldn’t get the IDE working; the activity LED comes on for a while but the drive isn’t recognized. Before spending more time on debugging this issue I would like to know if I’m running the latest stable firmware. The version I got is the 2017_7_30_tf530, can anyone confirm that the IDE interface works with this version? |
You haven't attached INT2 to the A500 edge connector? That's why IDE will take 2 weeks to load. I can confirm that IDE works perfectly on my build rev3s
