I had the same experience on Deck 6. But when I've tried to repeat the exercise on later attempts it hasn't occurred.
For the record I'd advise we allow it. There's not much we can do about it, and it's not cheating per se.
Nice to see in the video that you accidentally close the blast door with the the high impact laser. That happens to me also and can be a total pain.
