I found a perfect side project for some Amiga driver coding wizard once the SPI interface is stable and has a fixed configuration.

inexpensive, readily available, Ethernet with an SPI interface. Small enough to fit inside many Amiga cases. Plus everyone can just go buy their own and install it without having to spend a fortune on some version of the same thing with a proprietary interface by some company profiteering off the desperation of the vintage computing community for new hardware.
That's what I like about this project, it's open source and uses standard protocols and interfaces like SPI to allow others to take it and expand it, customize it, etc.
This community needs to transition to this kind of thinking if it's going to do more than just survive into the future.
