Yes i think too that Mehdi Ali led Commodore to a bankrupt.

Mehdi Ali cut vital research and development (R&D), while increased CEO’s compensation.
In 1989, Ali received $1.38 million in salary. In 1990, he received $2 million (not including bonuses).
By comparison, the CEO of IBM, John Akers, received $713,000 in the same year!

Also he did numerous strategic errors and he is the one to stop the A500 production and release the A600 at it's place for a higher price than the A500 (!).
Long story short, sales collapsed and Commodore went bankrupt.
