It is not. CDTV front panel display is completely controlled by CDTV microcontroller, (LC6554) it is invisible to software.

CDTV-CR emulation has bigger change for full front panel emulation. It is controlled by microcontroller too but it is fully documented 4510, it has external ROM, it also controls CD hardware, front panel keys, has shared memory between 68000 and 4510 (68000 can partially tell what to display by writing to shared RAM, 4510 reads it and controls front panel display) and so on and most interesting part is that it also has serial debugger. It needs to be emulated someday
