That's because it's looking for cap.amg which is on the second disk (disk#1)
If you boot from the second disk (disk#1) then everything works with 512/512.
(When it asks for disk#2 it means third disk in the set)
Cap_Intro disk#0
Cap1 disk#1
cap2 disk#2
