Most of the coders here also taught themselves to code in their teen years or early twenties, while the actual scene is mostly composed of people over 30, and some of the elasticity required to learn fast is partially gone; so having easier to follow tutorials can help to put on track; plus don't forget that, unlike on the 8-bit machines, most amiga users were more consumers of software rather than producers, due to the more complex operating system in my opinion, and for those the leap is even harder;
