Dreamkatcha, the reference to the palette is a way of me imposing some limit to the design. The game would also ideally play on the very first Amiga, A1000.
The palette could change but I do like the connection of C64 and Amiga in some way.
I recently have been reading up on the colour/hardware limits on various 8-bit systems , http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...dware_palettes
. And found the C64 quite a interesting challenge.
