Gloom isn't too bad on an unexpanded A1200, moves at an okay speed though you have to compromise visual detail pretty heavily. Virtual GP needs a lot more than a basic A1200, Kang Fu and Land of Genesis both need hard drives and only came on CD, though Street Racer was a nice surprise.

With hindsight I think the A1200 should have been launched with a higher spec - 030, 4Mb memory, integrated hard drive. I'd've aimed at a 600 price-point, for the symmetry with the A600 selling at 300 by then. That way there was more for it to grow into, and less direct competition with the A600.
