With an a1200 or a600 the easiest way to transfer files is using a PCMCIA CF card reader. I've used one that cost maybe £3. There might also be SD card readers around but they're less common.

The C2P outputs only 5 bitplanes (instead of 6 available in HAM8) so you need to show them on the upper bitplanes. The least significant bitplane you can leave 0, 1, noise or whatever :)
