Why not modify the switcher to be 27c400 compliant. It's already been modified before to get the 2.04 mask ROM going. :-)

You can do both sockets at the same time if you cut the thin trace right...

With some controllers the termination power pin gives enough milli amps that the scsi2sd can leech off that. In this setup I'd also recommend just using the Amiga's PSU.
