So Santa's bringing one of those nice Asus Eee PC's, 900MHz Celeron, 512MB ram, 4GB SSD, 800x480 pixel 7" screen, cant wait to try it. :)

Probably end up going for one of the usb...

Probably end up going for one of the usb adaptors, and maybe a usb/ethernet, so I can avoid using the PCMCIA slot. Giving me my 8mb fast ram.

Ive got a parnet cable already, but havent got a usb adapter, - dont know if i could squeeze it under the bonnet on the A1200, maybe for the A2000 tho'

You missed the point - the graphics drivers already exist, thats why theyve included a PCI slot so you can use your voodoo card :)

4MB is your limit,as the pcmcia slot is mapped just above the 4MB mem. The same problem arises with Mem Expansion cards and non-MMU accelerator cards.
