Orinoco cards do not support AES encryption (nor WPA2 IIRC). You need to set your router to allow use of WPA-PSK/TKIP.

IIRC one of the fixes done by CardPatch (see Aminet) is to avoid slowdowns when a PCMCIA card is inserted.
