Sprite capabilities of the C64 can be reproduced with the Amiga if you use the Copper to reuse sprites.

And the tile based backgrounds can be made with the blitter unless scroll is *too* fast.

I could never understand why most Ron Pieket games had no ingame music. He actually could do wonders with the Amiga sound hardware, but I think his only Amiga game that had ingame music was Rodland.

This is a way to make a nice parallax with "animated" backgrounds...

I don't think thats true. The X68000 has video capabilities that goes way beyond an Amiga can push. I am not sure a 030 would be able to compensate.

Yeah, just ran R-Type 2 via WHDLOAD on NTSC mode.

Screen is chopped, the game doesn't get any smoother as people reported before, just faster.

Xenon wasn't an arcade port. The arcade game was actually an Amiga computer inside an arcade cabinet. Pretty sure it's the same case with Sidewinder , Roadwars, Magic Johnson Basketball and New York...
