Welcome to EAB! My first Amiga 500 had 1.3 in ROM and 1.2 on disk. Red LEDs are vastly superior. They make your Amiga run faster too (I might be lying) .

MicroSoft released "Windows File Recovery" recently. Might be worth a look at.
Backup the drive if you can. You will need a tool to create an image of the drive.

I think I've used Recuva also.
