Not bought today but recently got my A1200...

Not bought today but recently got my A1200 recapped by RetroPassion and got it the following:

8Mb RAM upgrade, CF > IDE adaptor, PCMCIA CF adaptor and OS 3.1.4
Also got a MouSTer USB mouse...

E-UAE is old and the PS3 port was never that polished TBH. It used to struggle with some AGA games, and that shouldn't really happen on a machine as powerful as the PS3 is. OCS/ECS performance was ok...

Hmm, The lock ups could well be due to Qemu's limit of 256mb ram for the emulated Pi.

You could try to cross compile instead - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/linux/kernel/building.md
