Yes it would be possible, but the benefit of porting an exiting game is the assets are already there. I myself don't have time or skills to draw new gfx for another game.

Yes you're correct, the arcade ran at 30 fps. Video clock at 60 Hz.
On PAL Amiga the 30 fps corresponds to 25 fps.

There is a bit more to it, than what I wrote initially, because I also want to reposition the sprites on every scanline, besides changing the data ptr.

Great project. Your mem calculations for the screen seem a bit off. You need an extra 16 pixels horizontally for the scrolling. And unless you want choppy gfx you need at least dual screen buffers....
