I built a mouse/joystick switcher because of this risk. Not worth hot-swapping on an amiga! you can short the 5v line to gnd and or other pins and kill CIA?!

I wasn't saying the board itself was 100$ at the time, it was 40,00 Euro which is just shy of 50$ , what I mean is but try getting it for less than 100$...

8meg in z2 mode conflicts with the pcmcia, it wont work if you have above 4meg as said above. If you had a full 020 or 030 on an accelerator it can take advantage of z3 , and therefor not conflict...
